The parallel processing group of Amirkabir University of Technology has years experience in research and development of parallel processing systems. Some sample implemented systems are as follows:

A parallel processing system using TMS320C25 processors

In this project, eight TMS320C25 processors were connected to each other in a mesh topology. The adjacent processors communicated through an implemented shared memory. The original goal of this system was to detect flying aircrafts in sequential images (50 images per second, each 128*128 pixels).

A parallel processing system using Transputer processors

In this project, using seventeen IMS T805-25 Transputer processors and two IMS C004 chips, a parallel processing system was implemented which its topology was reconfigurable. The designed communication method was message passing. The system was aimed as a general purpose high performance system.
